Commitment to change, not charity-15 yrs of the Bennelong Foundation
The Bennelong Foundation exists to enhance community wellbeing and provide opportunities for positive and lasting change in the community. The core value of the Bennelong Foundation is its commitment to change, not charity.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of Bennelong Foundation. The Foundation enables both internal and external stakeholders, including employees, family of staff, clients and partners to participate in the development and growth of the Foundation.
Established on the 31st May 2002, and later transitioning to a Private Ancillary Fund in 2009, the Foundation awarded its first grants to 10 organisations in 2003 with a focus on medical research, aged care and supporting children experiencing illness and disability. Fast forward to 2017 and it now considers more than 300 applications each year and has made more than 400 grants over that 15-year period.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary, the Foundation has provided a snapshot of organisations whom they have supported during 2016/2017 as well as shared the stories of their beneficiaries. The Annual Report (click here) also provides some of the statistics about the impact and reach of the Foundation over the last 5 years.
In 2016/2017 the Bennelong Foundation has continued to support programs with a focus on education, training and employment, community health and migrant and Indigenous community welfare. Sovereign Wealth Partners is extremely proud to be part of an organisation that has a special focus of helping those less fortunate in our communities.
